The IOC Playbooks Tokyo 2020 (the “Playbooks”) are the basis to ensure that the Tokyo 2020 participants and the people of Tokyo and Japan are safe and healthy.
You have the obligation to read and understand all of the relevant Playbooks contents before travelling to Japan.

You need to take two Covid-19 tests on two separate days within 96 hours (= 4 days) of the departure of your flight to Japan (first international flight if you are on an indirect route). At least one of the two tests must be taken within 72 hours (= 3 days) of departure.The FEI is working on shipping pre-travel Covid-19 self-testing kits directly to each of you (except Japan residents and FEI staff located in or near Lausanne) form the company MEENTA. In case you need to use a different provider than MEENTA to take the Covid-19 Tests find below the lists of approved Testing Providers approved by the Japanese Government and refer to FEI Comunication of 29 June 2021 above:

You will be required to have Medical Treatment and Repatriation Insurance (including cover for COVID-19) covering the entire period of your stay in Japan.
For IF and J accreditation categories, Tokyo 2020 will provide such insurance for the period between the Village pre-opening and closing dates (Olympic Village: July 7 – August 14). Please note that this insurance only covers costs incurred in Japan.
In addition FEI Officials or any other person acting in an official capacity on behalf of the FEI, specifically appointed and sent by the FEI to an event or a meeting is also COVID-19 covered when travelling to Japan under the FEI Insurance Coverage. For further information please check here.

Dinner: We are still in discussion for arrangement at the hotel to use the restaurant within the COVID requirements, however this option will not be available after the first 3 days of your arrival as it has been requested that you eat in your room. However during the Olympic Games most competitions take place at night time and the restaurant close at 10pm. |
