You need to take two Covid-19 tests on two separate days within 96 hours (= 4 days) of the departure of your flight to Japan (first international flight if you are on an indirect route). At least one of the two tests must be taken within 72 hours (= 3 days) of departure.The FEI is working on shipping pre-travel Covid-19 self-testing kits directly to each of you (except Japan residents and FEI staff located in or near Lausanne) form the company MEENTA. In case you need to use a different provider than MEENTA to take the Covid-19 Tests find below the lists of approved Testing Providers approved by the Japanese Government and refer to FEI Comunication of 29 June 2021 above:
You will be required to have Medical Treatment and Repatriation Insurance (including cover for COVID-19) covering the entire period of your stay in Japan.
For IF and J accreditation categories, Tokyo 2020 will provide such insurance for the period between the Village pre-opening and closing dates (Olympic Village: July 7 – August 14). Please note that this insurance only covers costs incurred in Japan.
In addition FEI Officials or any other person acting in an official capacity on behalf of the FEI, specifically appointed and sent by the FEI to an event or a meeting is also COVID-19 covered when travelling to Japan under the FEI Insurance Coverage. For further information please check here.
Practice good hygiene, including washing your hands regularly
If inconclusive, confirmatory nasopharyngeal PCR test is conducted
It is your personal responsibility to deposit the daily quantitative saliva antigen test in the Equestrian venue
Avoid enclosed spaces and crowds wherever possible
If you develop symptoms, stop your activities
More details about where you can pick your quantitative saliva antigen test and where they must be deposited in the equestrian venue will be provided to you as soon as the information is available
Follow only the activities in your activity plan. Only go to places that are on the list of permitted destinations
If you are at the Equestrian venue, proceed to the venue medical station for an examination and inform FEI CLO
Use dedicated Games vehicles only
If you are not at the Equestrian venue, isolate in your room and inform FEI CLO for further instructions.
You must use only official transport as per your accreditation

Breakfast: hotel – buffet
Tokyo 2020 should have provided to all Officials eligible for a uniform with the relevant information
Please bring your own supply of face masks, hand sanitizer, thermometer
Lunch: At the Equestrian venue, lunch and dinners have been ordered and paid for the FEI Board, Staff, and will be available as from 14 July
Per diems will be distributed at the uniform center in in Japanes Yen cash
Laundry: the Hotel has a service, and there are washing machines in the hotel – bring detergent and Japanese coins
Dinner: We are still in discussion for arrangement at the hotel to use the restaurant within the COVID requirements, however this option will not be available after the first 3 days of your arrival as it has been requested that you eat in your room. However during the Olympic Games most competitions take place at night time and the restaurant close at 10pm.
The Hotel should be providing meals in the room, we still awaiting confirmation
UberEats is the option recommended by Tokyo 2020. For food to be deliver at reception but to be taken in the room. Please download the UberEats application BEFORE your travel as several participants have had difficulties with phones not registered in Japan
