The Rules Revision Process 2023 is well underway with the first draft of the proposed changes now available to National Federations and Stakeholders for review and feedback by 16 August 2023 prior to being submitted to the General Assembly for approval in November as per the timeline below:
1 March 2023
National Federations and Stakeholders with whom the FEI has signed an MOU have the opportunity to propose Rules changes as per the FEI Periodical Rules Revision Policy.
28 June 2023
The FEI provides National Federations and Stakeholders with the first Draft of proposed Rules change.
IMPORTANT
The 1st Draft of proposed Rules changes Memos as well as the Templates to provide feedback by 16 August 2023 can be found HERE. ONLY proposals submitted online on the Rules Revision Platform using the respective Templates will be accepted.
16 August 2023
National Federations and Stakeholders are given seven weeks to review the first Draft and the proposed amendments in this first Draft and make comments and/or propose any changes in relation to the first Draft.
24 October 2023
Final Draft of the proposed Rules changes is provided to National Federations and Stakeholders.
20 November 2023
Rules Session at FEI General Assembly in Mexico City (MEX).
21 November 2023
Voting of Rules at the FEI General Assembly.

The FEI Sports and Veterinary Department would like to draw your attention to the application deadline to host FEI Transfer Up or CES (FEI Competency-based Evaluation System) Maintenance Courses in 2024.
We kindly ask you to download the relevant application & budget forms, which can be accessed via the links provided below, and to send them to the FEI via the corresponding email address also provided below, no later than the 31 July 2023.

FEI Endurance Pan American Championships for Seniors & Young Riders – change of date
The Board approved the request for a change of date for the FEI Endurance Pan American Championships for Seniors and Young Riders from 10-12 November 2023 to 23-26 November 2023.
Please note that the deadline for the Definite Entries of the FEI Endurance World Championship for Seniors in Butheeb (UAE) is coming up this Wednesday. Definite Entries must be received by the FEI no later than Wednesday, 25 January 2023 23:59 CET.

Please note that the deadline for the Nominated Entries of the FEI Endurance World Championship for Seniors in Butheeb (UAE) is coming up this Wednesday, 18 January 2023.
Once you have validated your Nominated Entries List, please download the Certificate of Capability and email the signed document to endurance@fei.org.
The deadline for the Definite Entries is 25 January 2023.

We would like to inform you that additional information regarding the FEI Endurance World Championship for Seniors taking place in Butheeb (UAE) from 20-26 February 2023 is now available.
Among the information added you will now find the qualification criteria, with nominated and definite entry dates, as well as an informative document. The informative document provides useful information for Athletes and National Federations, on topics including the costs covered by the OC, the prize money distribution and provides a preliminary timetable.

We are pleased to inform you that the FEI Secretary General has approved the FEI Calendar for 2023 for all disciplines. It can be consulted online in the FEI Database.
In accordance with the FEI General Regulations, Article 112 Official Calendar, National Federations (NFs) had until 1 October 2022 at the latest to send in applications and modifications to CIs taking place in 2023 to the Secretary General. The Secretary General approves the official Calendar for the following year.
Approval of the 5* Jumping Calendar for 2024 is scheduled for late November/early December 2022 but could be postponed should the FEI General Assembly in Cape Town (RSA) approve FEI’s proposal to change the deadline for receipt of applications for 5* to 1 May (the year before the Event takes place).
In addition, the Secretary General has extended the measure taken on 28 February 2022 to remove all international equestrian events in Russia and Belarus from the FEI Calendar. As a consequence, no FEI events will be accepted/entered in either country in the FEI Calendar for 2023.
The other measures approved by the FEI Executive Board in February remain in place, as follows:

The Secretary General has also confirmed that the FEI Board’s Emergency Board Resolution of 2 March 2022 prohibiting all Russian and Belarusian Athletes, Horses and Officials from participating in FEI Events remains in place until further notice.
