    FEI Board Resolutions, 4 April 2023 and FEI Sport Forum update

    The FEI Board held an extraordinary teleconference on 4 April. The main resolutions taken on this occasion are listed below.
    In addition to the Board resolutions, this NF contains an update on the FEI Sports Forum 2023.

    Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Series
    Proposed Changes to the FEI General Regulations and Allocation of FEI Named Events Policy
    Emergency Board Resolution*:

    The Board approved as an Emergency Board Resolution the proposed changes to the FEI General Regulations (Art. 103, 105, 106, and 112) along with the related modifications to the Allocation of FEI Named Events Policy. The details are outlined in the attached document. These modifications were presented during the consultation process of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Taskforce.

    The updated FEI General Regulations, effective 4 April 2023, have been published here and the modified Allocation of FEI Named Events Policy is available here.

    Concept
    The Board approved a concept for the new series. The Board tasked the FEI Headquarters with taking the necessary actions to develop the concept, qualification formula and rules further, in consultation with the FEI Jumping Committee and the Regional Group Chairs, where necessary. The FEI Headquarters will also prepare a bid document and launch the bidding process for the new FEI Team Jumping Series.

    The Board agreed to suspend the provisions relating to the 2024 season in the current rules of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Series.

    Regarding the Emergency Board Resolution listed above, National Federations have until 5 May 2023 to signify their disapproval by sending an email to Francisco P. Lima, Director Governance & Institutional Affairs.

    IOC Recommended Conditions of Participation of Russian and BELARUSIAN Athletes at International Events
    The Board condemned the invasion of Ukraine by Russia with the support of Belarus and confirmed its solidarity with the Ukrainian people. It will continue to support the Ukrainian equestrian community via the FEI Solidarity Relief Fund.

    The Board agreed to maintain the protective measures it had taken via an Emergency Board Resolution on 2 March 2022 prohibiting all Russian and Belarusian Athletes, Horses and Officials from participating in FEI Events until further notice.

    Veterinary
    Appointment Dr Albéric Théry to the FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List Expert Group

    The Board approved the appointment of Dr Albéric Théry (UAE) to the FEI List Group as a replacement of Treating Veterinarian Dr Richard Corde (FRA) retiring in 2023.

    FEI SPORTS FORUM 2023
    As the deadline to register for the FEI Sports Forum, which had been set for 31 March, has passed and we have reached full capacity, registration is now closed.

    Those, who are not attending the FEI Sports Forum in person, will be able to follow the discussions via YouTube (the link will be published here soon). If you would to address a question to the panellists during the various sessions, please send it to their attention at feisportsforum@fei.org.

    The FEI Board held a teleconference on 15 March. The main resolutions taken on this occasion are listed below.

    Allocation FEI Named Series, Events and Finals
    EVENTING
    FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ 2023

    The Board approved the allocation of a leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ 2023 to Bromont (CAN) to be held from 11 to 13 August 2023.

    DRESSAGE
    FEI Dressage World Cup™ Rules 2023/2024

    The Board approved the rules for the FEI Dressage World Cup™ season 2023/2024.

    PARA DRESSAGE
    CPEDI3* Qualification Criteria for 2023

    The Board approved the modifications to the Para Dressage Qualification Requirements for CPEDI3* Events, allowing athletes to achieve a minimum score of 60% in a CDI1* (or above). Scores achieved in a CDI must have been obtained in the 12 months prior to the athlete’s first appearance in a CPEDI3*.

    The Board approved the following list of Jumping Officials for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Jumping Competitions:

    FEI Board Resolutions 31 January 2023

    The FEI Board held its first teleconference of 2023 on 31 January. The main resolutions taken on this occasion are listed below.

    ALLOCATION FEI NAMED SERIES, EVENTS AND FINALS
    FEI Endurance Pan American Championships for Seniors & Young Riders – change of date

    The Board approved the request for a change of date for the FEI Endurance Pan American Championships for Seniors and Young Riders from 10-12 November 2023 to 23-26 November 2023.

    JUMPING
    FEI Jumping World Cup™ Rules 2023/2024

    The Board approved the FEI Jumping World Cup™ Rules 2023/2024.

    FEI Jumping Youth European Championships 2023 / Nominated Entries Deadline*
    Emergency Board Resolution*

    The Board approved an exception to Article 116.2.2 (i) of the General Regulations to reduce to three (3) weeks (instead of four) the deadline for the Nominated Entries for the above mentioned Championship to allow the athletes and horses to achieve the Minimum Eligibility Requirements (MERs) at CSIO Youth Hagen (GER), 13 - 18 June 2023.

    2023 Increase of Entry Fees CSIOs*
    Emergency Board Resolution*

    The Board approved the update of Annex VI.3 “CSIO Requirements Worldwide” of the FEI Jumping Rules 2023 and the increase of the entry fees by 10% as agreed with the Equestrian Organisers and the International Jumping Officials Club with the support of the FEI Jumping Committee. This increase is being introduced to bring CSIO entry fees in line with the entry fees for CSIs approved by the FEI General Assembly 2022.

    Major League of Show Jumping Rules – calendar update
    The Board approved the updated Rules for the Major League of Show Jumping Series 2023 with the exception of the upgrade from CSI3* to CSI5* for Mill Spring (USA), 10-15 October 2023.

    Sunshine Tour 2023 – Grand Prix Rules
    The Board approved the Grand Prix Rules for the Sunshine Tour 2023.

    FEI Para Dressage World Challenge Rules 2023 – Update

    The Board approved minor modifications to the FEI Para Dressage World Challenge Rules 2023.

    FEI Para Dressage Rules Update*
    Emergency Board Resolution*

    The Board approved a modification to Article 8441 of the FEI Para Dressage Rules for 2023 to allow Organising Committee to appoint a minimum of two Level 1 FEI Stewards or above in addition to a minimum Level 3 Chief Steward for CPEDI3*.
