Universal Equine Life Number - UELN

Organisations that register horses, such as stud-books and federations, have their own independent systems of equine identification. This can make the sharing of information difficult.

The aim of the UELN (Universal Equine Life Number), is to ensure that each horse in the world can be identified with their unique UELN.

The UELN includes the registration number of the stud-book of birth without modification. This allows database managers to continue using their own registration systems and create UELNs according to the original registration number of the horse.

To establish a UELN number you must contact The Universal Equine Line at: contact@ueln.net
