FEI Endurance Rule Changes 2025

Hold Times in CEI Events (Article 816.8.2)

A correction has been made to specify Hold Times:

  • CEI2*, CEI3*, and Championships: at least one Hold Time of 50 minutes.
  • All other events: at least one Hold Time of 40 minutes.

Suspensions and Loss of Elite Athlete Status (Article 861.4.3)

Athletes found to have "No Fault or Negligence" or whose cases are dropped will no longer lose Elite Athlete Status. This rule applies retroactively to decisions issued on or after 1 January 2025.

Rides Counting Towards Elite Athlete Status (Transitional Provision – 861)

The clarification specifies that CEI3* rides of 140km and above count towards Elite Athlete Status.

Noseband Tightness (Article 1044.8 Veterinary Regulations & 825.2.6)

A new FEI measuring device for noseband tightness will be introduced across disciplines, starting 1 May 2025, to ensure consistent and reliable readings.
