FEI Jumping Rules - Changes for 2025

FEI Jumping Rule Changes 2025

Boot and Bandage Control (Article 244.1)

The Boot and Bandage Control Protocol has been separated from the Stewards Manual for easier access. It is now available on the new Stewards Hub and the Jumping Rules section on Inside.FEI.org.

Eligibility Period for Grand Prix and World Cup Events (Article 261.4.5)

The eligibility period for athlete/horse combinations has been adjusted to the 12 months preceding the event date, rather than the definite entries deadline, providing greater flexibility for competitors.

Winning Round Competitions (Articles 276.1.4 & 276.2.4)

Clarifications have been made to specify that in a winning round, two new single obstacles may be added, but no combinations are allowed.

Qualification Procedure for Championships (Annex VIII, Article 4)

A correction has been made to the measurement for narrow vertical or spread obstacles, adjusting the frontal width from 3.99m to 3.00m.

Noseband Tightness Standards (Veterinary Regulations, Article 1044.8)

A new FEI measuring device for noseband tightness will be introduced across disciplines, starting 1 May 2025, to ensure consistent and reliable readings.
