Rudi Kronsteiner (AUT) unbeatable at the CRI in Austria

The CRI during the NRHA European Affiliate Championship in Wiener Neustadt (AUT) was won by Austrian Rudi Kronsteiner. Astride Sashimi, an American Quarter Horse stallion by Nijomi Sonny Reb out of Powder Gay Barette owned by Rosanne Sternberg (GBR), he scored a 71. Oliver Stein (GER) and Roman Brechtl's ST Paddys Rooster placed second scoring a 70.5. Kronsteiner also rode Chic N The Barn (owner Rosanne Sternberg, GBR) to a third place in the CRI and Spaceship Commander (owner Braam QH, NED) to 4th place.

Rudi Kronsteiner is well accustomed to podiums, winning the FEI World Reining Masters 2006 in the Restricted Division. The 32-year-old trainer was born in Steyr near Linz (AUT). He started his western riding career at the Glis Ranch (AUT) in 1987. From 1990 to 1992 he rode with Randy Paul, becoming a professional trainer in 1992. Due to his former girl friend, Rudi moved to Germany in 1997 where he first trained at Ebi Simon's facility and later moved to the Hill Top Ranch north of Munich. There he stayed until last year. Rudi Kronsteiner lives and trains at Michael Saupe's former facility at Freystadt close to Nuremberg now.

Rudi Kronsteiner has won numerous NRHA Bronze Trophies. He was several times AQHA European Champion and NRHA Breeders Futurity Champion and World Reining Trophy Reserve Champion. Representing Austria, he competed in the European CRIO, in FEI World Equestrian Games and in all the FEI World Reining Masters so far.
