PARALYMPIC GAMES - PARA DRESSAGE

Definite Sport Entries

We kindly remind all NFs qualified to take part in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, that the deadline for the Paris 2024 Organising Committee to receive final entries is

5 August 2024 23:59 Paris time (CEST)

By this date, National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) must provide their final entries in the Sports Entry system, directly to Paris 2024.

The final entries can only include the Athlete/Horse combinations listed in the nominated entries list (published here) having achieved qualification criteria according to the procedure established by the FEI and approved by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

The number of Athletes and Horses entered on the Official Entries by “Sports Entry Form” were agreed on the quota allocation forms signed by NPCs in March 2024.

Music – Para Dressage Freestyle

The FEI has requested confirmation/information from the IPC regarding the requirements that will apply in relation to the music that Athletes will use for the Paralympic Freestyle routine. As soon as the FEI receives any updates on this, NFs will be informed directly. In the meantime, we encourage NFs to gather the relevant information on their Athletes’ freestyle routines so that it is ready if/when it is requested by the IPC/Paris OCOG. For example, for previous Olympic and Paralympic Games, the following information needed to be provided:

Nationality - Athlete Name
a) No.
b) Duration
c) Title
d) Artist(s)
e)Writer/Arranger (if applicable)
f) Record label/owner of recording
g) Year First Released
h) Writer(s)/owner(s) (composition lyrics)
i) Publisher(s)

NPC P Accreditation Access Policy

Please note the NPC P Accreditation Access Policy has been published on the FEI Paris 2024 Hub. NFs should be liaising with their NPCs on any matters regarding accreditation, including P accreditations.

Physiotherapy for Horses – Reminder

We kindly remind you that equine physiotherapy is regulated in France and can normally only be carried out by licensed veterinarians. The competent authority French Ministry of Agriculture (MASA) - Direction Générale de l'Alimentation (DGAL) has kindly agreed to a derogation during the Paris 2024 Games. The following conditions apply:

  1. Only one non-veterinary physiotherapist per NOC/NPC and discipline will be allowed.
  2. Non-veterinary physiotherapists must work under the supervision of the Team Veterinarian who in turn must have physiotherapy skills.
  3. Restricted Supportive Therapies as per FEI Veterinary Regulations Article 1063 must be recorded by the non-veterinary physiotherapist and shared with the Organising Committee. (Forms will be distributed by the VSM organisation).
  4. NOCs/NPCs must register their non-veterinary physiotherapists with the Organising Committee (VSM) for the Olympic Games. Please consult the Veterinary and Farrier Services Guide for details. The Organising Committee will send the list of non-veterinary physiotherapists to MASA-DGAL for their authorisation of the non-veterinary physiotherapists to carry out Restricted Supportive Therapies at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

For the physiotherapists working for the Olympic Games, please send information to the following address: vetnocregistration@paris2024.org or

Equine Health Requirements – FEI HorseApp

Further to the email sent on 12 July 2024 to all NFs with competing Athletes/Horses – your NF members who have access to manage and consult Horses on the FEI Database (NF Horse Admin access), have access to two different pages where they can consult the daily check-ins of your Olympic and Paralympic Horses as well as their submitted travel details.

You will need to be logged in with your FEI ID number and password and you can only consult the Horses that are listed as Nominated or Definite with your own Athletes.

These pages are designed for NF members only.
Click here for: Log of daily check-ins for Olympic & Paralympic Horses
Click here for: Event travel details for Olympic & Paralympic Horses

The data comes directly from what is entered by your Athletes/Grooms/Owners in the FEI HorseApp, so please contact them directly if data is missing or if you have questions about their location or travel details. If information has not been submitted or you have any queries regarding the requirements laid out in the Freight Manual, please contact: customs.gles@gl-events.com.

As a reminder, when a person checks-in a Horse, it geo-localises its position - therefore the Person must be with the Horse when they perform the Check-In. Guidelines on how to use the FEI HorseApp and fulfil the relevant requirements can be found here.
