The renowned course designer and co-founder of the Aachen School of Course Design (ASCD) Professor Dr. Arno Gego (68) will present his new book entitled “Course Design” during the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen. The work, which is set to become a standard for national and international course designers worldwide, is a look back to 40 years of experience in the field.

The richly illustrated book - no less than 80 photographs and 120 sketches - presents the science of course design in a comprehensive and reader-friendly way which will make it a must-read for experts and neophytes alike.

Prof. Gego has designed the courses of CHIO Aachen for the last 22 years; he was the chief course designer at the 1983 Panamerican Games in Caracas (VEN) and at the 1986 World Championships in Aachen; he was the technical delegate at the 1984 and 2000 Olympic Games as well as the 1989 FEI World Cup Jumping Final 1989 in Tampa (USA).

“Course Design” is published by J.A. Allen, London. It will be available from the publishing house of the German National Federation shortly ISBN 085131 9297.
