Lubbe  triumphs again

Ann Cathrin Lubbe (NOR) set the crowd alight and with another first class performance earned herself the gold in the Individual Freestyle test in Grade IV.

The Norwegian riding Zanko was the last rider to compete and when she came out of the arena, everyone already knew who the winner of the afternoon session was. Lubbe scored 79.318%, the highest marks the judges awarded on Friday.

This is the second victory of the week for Lubbe who won the gold in the Individual Championship on Wednesday.

The medals podium hosted the three same riders as in the Individual Championship and in the same order. Behind Lubbe finished Philippa Johnson (RSA), who concluded her participation at the Paralympic Games. The South African rider was awarded 78.273% for her programme.

Canada is celebrating its second medal in Equestrian. Karen Brain (CAN), who as a child dreamed of representing her country in a major competition, has fulfilled her aspiration. She grabbed the bronze from Jayne Craike (NZL) and with 77.227% rose to the third place on the winner's podium.
