As the Championships come to a close, the favorites step up to claim their medals

The FEI European Championships for Juniors and Young Riders ended in sunny conditions as the last two medals were awarded. For the Juniors, the individual gold medal went to André Schroder from Germany while the Individual European Young Rider title was awarded to Wesley Heydens from the Netherlands. Little surprise here, given that both countries had been picked as favorites at the onset of these Championships.

This officially closes the 2007 FEI European Championships for Juniors and Young Riders in Auvers (FRA) already heralded a great success in terms of organisation, sport and the many attractions on offer. This last day also marked the hand over, as the preparation for the next Championships gets underway, set your clocks for 24-27 July 2008, Prague (CZE).
