With only three events to go before the end of the season, Sweden and Switzerland have both 40 points on the 2004 Samsung Nations Cup Series leader board. According to the Samsung Nations Cup Series rules, in case of equality of points for anyplace of the standings, the tie break is the number of first place classifications, and if there is still equality, it is the number of second places and so on.
Both Sweden and Switzerland have won three Nations Cups of the Series during the season, but Sweden has one more second place in the standings, so the battle will be fierce at the last three events of the Samsung Nations Cup in Zagreb (23-26 September), Athens (7-10 October) and Buenos Aires (18-21 November).
