CSIO Poderbrady (CZE), 8 - 11 September 2005

The Samsung Nations Cup class, part of CSIO-W Podìbrady (CZE) took place on Friday 9 September 2005. The courses were designed by Olaf Peterson with the assistance of. Lukasz Jankowski of Poland.

Sweden, whose goal is to win this year’s series and thus be promoted to Samsung Super League status, had sent a strong team. But neither Malin Baryard-Johnsson on H&M Espri nor Peder Fredricson Irco Mac proved good enough to beat the very young German team composed of Philipp Wieshaupt / Conterno Grande; Henrik Gravenmaier / Puerto Rico 33; Vivien Shockemöhle / Come On; and Julia Brauweiler / Buddelei Jet Set. This team won the competition on the impressive score of barely 4 penalties. Sweden follow in 2nd place with 12 points. Great Britain and Ireland tied for the 3rd place on 16 points.

The 50 best riders and horses were on the starting list for the Grand Prix after three qualification rounds. Twelve reached the jump-off. The overall winner is Philipp Weishaupt / Conterno Grande (GER), ahead of Royne Zettermanem / Issac (SWE) and Carta Giampiero / Kartouche (ITA).
