FEI World Cup Jumping Update: Arab League

News from Egypt: End of the third and last leg of the Egyptian International Show-Jumping Competitions 
 
The third round of the Egyptian International Show-Jumping competitions concluded on 15 December.

The Egyptian competition was qualifying both for the FEI World Cup Final to be held in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia (April 2006) and for the FEI World Equestrian Games to take place in Achen in Germany at the end of August.

The winner of the FEI World Cup competition was the Olympic rider Khaled Al Eid from KSA. Karim El Zoghbi and Mohamed Ossama El Boraei from Egypt earned their qualification to participate at the FEI World Equestrian Games.

Through the three competitions of the Arab League held in Egypt, Egypt won the first round with Mohamed Ossama El Boraei and Saudi Arabia won the second and the third rounds with Olympic rider Khaled El Eid. These qualifiers are among the 11 events rounds composing the Arab League, where riders accumulate points for their qualification to the World Cup (6 best results are taken into consideration).

The events were well attended by businessmen, and delegates from Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Ministry of Interior and the Police Sports Federation. Among the invitees and attendees were the Head of State Security in Alexandria and Mr. Mosaad Aboul Regal, Vice Minister of Youth and Sports. Also sponsors with their representatives attended the events from Longines, Mcdonald’s, Aramex, Ritz Carlton, A&K, Rotana Hotels and Resorts, Concorde, Hilton, Apple Line and Nestle Waters.

The fourth qualifier of the FEI World Cup Arab League will be held in Yanbu (KSA).
