The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) today announced that it is inviting interested parties to submit proposals for future cooperation in the broadcast sector.

Equestrian sport is continuing to enjoy a period of substantial growth, not only in its global on-screen presence in terms of broadcast hours and viewing figures, but also in the commercial value of its broadcast properties as the sport appeals to larger and more diverse audiences around the globe.

As part of this growth, the FEI is now inviting proposals from current and potential new partners to deliver the production, sales and distribution of live, news, highlights, magazine and other FEI programming across equestrian sport’s most prestigious championships and events.

The FEI’s broadcast products feature the premium events on the global equestrian calendar and the packages on offer include flagship events such as the FEI World Equestrian Games™, the FEI European Championships in the Olympic disciplines of Dressage, Eventing and Jumping, the prestigious Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping and Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage, the international Jumping circuit’s most important team series, the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™, and FEI World Cup™ events in Driving and Vaulting.

"We are aware that we owe our recent growth across the broadcast sector to our drive and commitment to excellence as we constantly strive to improve the delivery of our sport to global audiences,” Lisa Lazarus, FEI Chief of Strategy and Business Development said. “After a very successful period we are now looking to take the next step with our broadcast products to ensure the continued positive development of the sport.

“We value highly the work of our current partners in production, sales and distribution, but are aware that we also need to explore the constantly evolving media market as part of our responsibility towards our different stakeholders in order to maximise the global visibility of our sport.

“We are looking forward to receiving exciting and innovative proposals from both our current and potential new partners as we are convinced that by further enhancing the quality and variety of FEI programming and broadening distribution we can achieve extraordinary results together that will take the sport’s global presence and commercial value to new levels.”

All parties interested in further information or wishing to submit proposals are invited to contact FEI Commercial Manager Christian Osterode (christian.osterode@fei.org), who oversees broadcast rights at the FEI.
