Germany in the lead after "Drugs Off" competition

Title holder Germany is in the lead with 6 points at the end of the first qualifying competition. The German squad finishes with a score of 6 points in total, ahead of other strong favourite France (7.48) and The Netherlands (7.76).

Marcus Ehning (GER) was the only rider under the time set of 80 seconds. At the press conference, he praised the perfect organisation and excellent footing. “With the results of the other team members, I am confident that we can remain in the lead for the Nations Cup tomorrow. The course was not too difficult for me, but required concentration for every jump and turn. I have jumped on a few occasions on courses designed by Marco Cortinovis. Last time was in Wiesbaden and I was eliminated!”

Drugs Off

Today, the first official competition to count towards both team and individual medals was called the “Drugs Off” Prize.

The logo which is composed of two black words- “Drugs Off” - held in a red fist, was created by In Testa, the agency of corporate identity of the Armando Testa Group. They created not only a logo, but also a fence for the FEI European Championship. The riders who will ride on the course designed by Marco Cortinovis for the 28th FEI Jumping Championship will see the logo in different representations during the team and individual competitions.

Drugs Off logo creator, Antonella Testa, head of Armando Testa Group’s “corporate identity” speaks of a brand loaded with great conviction, clarity and quite far from any form of compromise. And it really looks like that: the verbal message “Drugs off” stands graphically for prevention and struggle against any addiction whatsoever, has been strongly wished by San Patrignano, is easily comprehensible all over the world. It’s a simple slogan which targets an audience of young people – those most at risk for addiction.

“It’s a great emotion for our community,” says Andrea Muccioli, President of San Patrignano, “to realize such an event as an European Championship. It has been an incredible attempt to conceive, develop and complete what we can call now the “Championship of solidarity”. The people who put it together were once on the margins of society: they were in jail or smoked drugs in the streets; they were lost. Today they show they can do something great".
