FEI European Jumping Championship, 14 – 19 August 2007, Mannheim (GER)

The 2007 FEI European Jumping Championship will take place in Mannheim in south-western Germany from 14 to 19 August.

Media wishing to cover the event are requested to apply for accreditation by using the relevant form to be found on the www.horsesport.org > Media Centre > Accreditations (direct link http://www.horsesport.org/media/accreditations/accreditations.htm?sub=media&active=media2). The form should be filled in and sent to Press Officer Hartmut Binder by email hartmut.binder@mps-agentur.de or fax ++ 49 7 11 – 9 02 34 99. Accommodation can be booked by using the Press Accommodation form available through the same link. The deadline for submitting your accreditation is 27 July.

This year’s FEI European Jumping Championship marks the 50th anniversary since the first ever such event was held in Rotterdam (NED) in 1957 where only eight riders competed. Ten times as many – 70 to 80 participants - are expected to compare their merit this year. It is the second time that Mannheim will be the host of such a prestigious championship. Sport of the highest quality, unforgettable atmosphere and a rich cultural programme celebrating, among other things, the 400th anniversary of the creation of the city of Mannheim will provide for an outstanding sporting event.
