Schaffhausen (SUI) ready to welcome the championship in July

EUROPEAN JUMPING CHAMPIONSHIP FOR YOUNG RIDERS AND JUNIORS IN SCHAFFHAUSEN (SUI)
It is the first time that the charming town of Schaffhausen, situated along the Rhein, is organising a European Championship.

No less than twenty four nations have confirmed their participation to the Championship, which will be held over five days and conclude with an exciting final in the two categories on Sunday 10 July 2005. Hundred sixty three riders from 24 nations will participate: 17 teams and 19 individuals in the Junior championship and 16 teams and 12 individuals in the Young riders categories.

The European Junior championships are regularly organised since 1952, while the Young Riders championships started in 1981.

This is the sixth time that the championships are organised in Switzerland after St-Mortizz in 1970, Luzern in 1974, La Tour de Peilz in 1977, Aarau in 1981 and Münchwilen in 1999. Great Britain is the title holder of both the Young Riders and the Juniors Championship.
