The FEI is pleased to announce that it has granted an Official Licensee status to Atari, one of the world’s largest developers, publishers and distributors of interactive entertainment software. Thanks to the cooperation with Atari, My Horse and Me, a video game featuring sport of the finest kind and lifestyle experiences at a level of detail and authenticity never seen before in this gaming genre, will be brought to the market. A multi-platform launch is scheduled for the autumn of 2007. Atari is the first software publisher to be awarded an FEI license.

“We are delighted to have reached this agreement with a company as highly regarded in the games market as Atari but I also believe that this could be one of the most significant marketing moves by the FEI in over a decade. We know that engaging with youth is one of the greatest challenges facing all sport and to have the capacity to take horsesport to the gaming audience gives us the opportunity to talk directly to both the athletes and fans of horsesport in this and future generations of young people,” FEI President Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein declared.

“Atari is very proud to have won this license, something the FEI have not awarded before and which bears witness to the high quality of the games we will be bringing to the market,” said Mathias Hautefort, Executive Vice President of publishing and production, Atari.
