Rudi Kronsteiner wins Austrian Qualifyer for the FEI World Reining Masters Final 

On 7 August, Austria held its qualifyer, a CRI Cat. B, for the FEI World Reining Masters. The winner was Rudi Kronsteiner riding the well known Jacs on Top to a 146 score with typical stops and spins. Markus Morawitz placed second astride Hollywood Reckless (142.5 points). Tina Künstner-Mantl placed third with Tuff Chic Olena (score 142) and fourth with Lady Lena Twist (score 140). Rudi Kronsteiner, who is working at Hill Top Ranch (near Munich, Germany), will represent Austria in Oklahoma City which will take place on 2 December 2004.

Fifteen countries have planned to organise one or more qualifying CRI events. The countries with a Team in the final at the 2002 World Equestrian Games may organise two qualifiers, while all other nations may organise one. The qualified riders are not obliged to compete on the horses with which they qualified and no ownership restrictions will apply at the FEI World Reining Masters Finals, contestants.

The FEI World Reining Masters is organized for the first time this year.
