FEI TV will be offering LIVE coverage of this weekend’s Longines FEI World Endurance Championships at Euston Park (GBR) starting at 07.55 CEST tomorrow (Saturday).

Coverage of the event, which has attracted a field of more than 150 horses from 38 countries, continues right through until the first horses cross the finish line.

The 14th running of these championships sees Spain’s Maria Alvarez Ponton going for a third individual gold to match the USA’s Becky Hart three-in-a-row with RO Grand Sultan in 1988, 1990 and 1992. The Spaniard will once again ride the 17-year-old superstar Nobby, her partner for individual gold in Malaysia in 2008 and at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2010 in Kentucky (USA).

HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, whose son Sheikh Ahmed won the world individual title in 2002 at the age of 16, heads a strong UAE defence of the world team title, bidding for a third successive win.

The first horse inspection takes place at 15.00 CEST today, and the ride gets underway at 08.00 CEST tomorrow.

A detailed press kit for the Championships, which offers lots of information for fans as well as media, is available for download from the FEI Press Kit Zone at www.fei.org
