Italy:  Dario Carmignani  and Aldo Lorenzoni 

36-year-old Dario Carmignani started riding horses at the age of 14. His mentors include Pierre Ouellet, Francesco Arrighi, Ken Morgan, and Tim McQuay. He runs his own training facility in Rome with his wife, Federica, and his two children. Dario started showing successfully in Europe in 1988 and since then has won many major reining titles in Europe. Dario represented Italy in the very first CRIO held in Reggio Emilia where he won both the Team and Individual gold. In Germany he won the Individual silver as well as being part of Team Italy who won the gold. Carmignani was a member of Team Italy at the 2002 World Equestrian Games where the team won the bronze medal.

Born in Italy on June 14th 1972, Aldo Lorenzoni started riding horses at a very young age show-jumping ponies. At the age of 20, he turned to western equitation and Reining in particular after working for Marco Manzi. Following two years learning the art of Reining in the USA first with Garth Brown and then with Ted Robinson, Aldo returned to Italy and now runs La Meridiana Quarter Horses Training Facility in Lonate, Como - Italy. Lorenzoni has been a consistent finalist in Italian special events since 1999 and most recently claimed the Reserve Championship in the Open class held at the 2004 NRHA European Affliate Finals.
