East Coast League Riders Amass 94 World Cup Qualifying Points at the FEI Budweiser World Cup of Syracuse, NY (USA)

David Raposa bested a field of 2004 Olympic athletes and fellow international riders to claim the highest score for the United States at the $75,000 World Cup of Syracuse over the weekend. Coming in second place overall, atop Audis Fanny dela Tour, (Bay Selle Francais mare; Trias Du GueAlicia de la Tour; Shalamar Farm) Raposa jumped double clear rounds to secure his title. His jump-off round clocked in at a mere 31.21 seconds, less than two-tenths of a second behind the first place finisher, Eric van der Vleuten (NED). This second place finish means an additional 17 World Cup qualifying points for Raposa, drastically changing his standing in the East Coast League from last weeks 16th place to a tie for 7th.
