The FEI Jumping Committee held its second meeting of the year at the FEI Headquarters in Lausanne (SUI) on 9 October 2007. The following were the major points of discussion:

• A rider report form for Jumping will be made available on the FEI website. The report is to be filled in by a foreign rider selected by the Foreign Judge at all 3* to 5* events and returned to the FEI with the Judge’s report.
• Due to the growing number of teams participating in the FEI European Jumping Championships for Juniors and Young Riders, a Certificate of Capability for these categories has been introduced and will be presented to the Bureau for approval.
• Sport criteria for new series were approved, as well as the rules for the Global Champions Tour; these will be submitted to the Bureau.
• A number of alterations to the rules governing the calculation of points for the Rolex Rankings were approved and will be submitted to the Bureau.
• The Committee supported a proposal to introduce a separate ranking system for Latin America as well as a FEI World Cup™ Jumping semi-final for Latin American riders.
• The Committee agreed to the distribution of prize money according to a scale based on percentages. The scale will be printed in the Draft Schedule and the relevant prize money is to be distributed as quoted.
• Several minor clarifications to the Jumping Rules were considered and will be presented to the Bureau for approval.
• The Committee established a minimum age for competitors participating in the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses. Competitors who have reached their 16th birthday at the time of the Championship are eligible to compete.
• The syllabi for Levels 2, 3 and 4 Course Designers are currently being drawn up and will be introduced in 2009. A pilot course for Introductory and Level 1 Course Designers was successfully run in Spain the first week in October. The Committee also approved the criteria for the appointment of Jumping Officials for Championships and Games.
• A seminar for FEI Stewards General will be held in Lausanne in December 2007.
• A five-year calendar for the FEI World Cup™ Jumping and the Samsung Super League with FEI was established.
