First ever FEI World Reining Championship to be held outside of the FEI World Equestrian Games will take place in Italy 
 

Once again Italy will be hosting a 'first ever' on the international Reining scene. From 11 through 14 September, the 2008 FEI World Reining Championship will be hosted in Manerbio, Italy, at the Palasturla facility. In the past, a World Reining Championship has only been organised during the FEI World Equestrian Games held every four years. Coming up this year, for the first time, teams will be competing for the prestigious World Championship medals outside these Games.

The 2008 FEI Reining World Championship selection procedures will be published as soon as they are finalised.
