Welcome to the FEI Governance Highlights section of the Annual Report 2022. As you will come to discover, it has been another busy year, filled with challenges and successes.
In this section we will be looking back on the governance highlights and the milestones of the year. From the uncontested re-election of FEI President Ingmar De Vos for his third and final term and the appointment of three new Executive Board Members – Chair of Group VII since 2019 Sami AlDuhami from Saudi Arabia, Chair of the FEI Veterinary Committee since 2018 Dr Jenny Hall from Great Britain and our new Chair of the Athletes Committee Jessica Kürten from Ireland – to the creation of an independent Commission for equine ethics and wellbeing, and the official recognition of the International Grooms Association, it’s certainly been a year to remember!
You can read all about these milestones, our major meetings and more on the work at FEI Headquarters with regards to education, digital and technology related initiatives, commercial activities and communications highlights in the dedicated sections below. It’s important to stress that these highlights are a reflection and result of a collective effort by the larger FEI Family, and a commitment to continue shaping the future of equestrian for an ever evolving sporting and social landscape as we enter our second century!
