The line-up for the Longines FEI Endurance World Championship in San Rossore, saw competitors from 32 countries and five continents battle it out for the 2021 team and individual world titles. The venue had hosted a number of major FEI Endurance events in the past, including the World Championships for Junior & Young Riders in 2019 and the European Championship for Juniors & Young Riders in 2018.
The defending champions from Spain claimed team gold once again while the UAE dominated the individual podium, clinching the top two places. History was made when Boni Viada de Vivero became the first Chilean rider to stand on a World Championship podium scooping individual bronze, while Brazil celebrated their first-ever medal taking team silver ahead of France.

The FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders & Juniors brought together 74 athletes in the race for medals. Saeed Salem Atiq Khamis Al Muhairi (UAE) held onto his title, winning gold for a third consecutive Championship. Compatriot Abdulla Ali Mohamed Ali Alamri (UAE) won silver and Spain’s Rut Badia Marfa took bronze. France secured team gold, with Malaysia and Belgium taking silver and bronze.

Twenty young 8-year-old horses competed at the prestigious Ala Birdi Equicenter in Arborea which featured some of the best Endurance athletes from around the world. At the end of the 120km race, Nahar Shabab paired with 18 year old Fares Al Mansoori (UAE) took gold, Kashmiir ridden by Khalfan Juma Beljafla (UAE) taking silver and Spain’s Cardu 50 winning bronze together with Alba Ruiz de Villa Alvarez.
