New in 2020
The FEI Campus glossary is a new functionality that allows FEI Campus visitors to find out more about the specific terminology used in equestrian sport, providing not only definitions, but also the translations into other languages.
The glossary is accessible while studying as an in-course tool, meaning, words from the glossary are discreetly highlighted in purple to ensure that entries can be identified and that the reading experience is not affected by the identification.
Additionally, one can also access the glossary at any time to do a random search, via the burger menu link. New entries are added on a regular basis to cover as many aspects of the equestrian terminology as possible.
New format for videos on rule changes
In 2020, a new format was introduced for the videos on rule changes.
This first edition focused on two main points.
- Adding on-screen animations and data to illustrate and explain changes and associated concepts visually for easier understanding
- Giving our directors the opportunity to introduce these changes personally to their audience
A total of 10 videos on rule changes have already been added to FEI Campus in 2020.
Creation of discipline specific webinars
In order to enrichen learning possibilities, and to help grasp the essence of the theoretical information provided by some of the discipline’s most renowned experts, we introduced a new series of webinars crafted by, and for, the equestrian community. These webinars have seen their debut in Eventing and will, in a near future stretch out across all disciplines, together with newly upgraded in-video features.
Introduction of the Competency Evaluation System (CES) online assessments for Officials
The aim of the FEI Competency-based Evaluation System is to ensure that FEI Officials fulfil all the requirements of their job description and are up-to-date with the current FEI Rules and Regulations, regardless of their age.
The intention of this evaluation system is to include all the different competencies required and assess them in the most objective manner on a regular basis; by discipline, by level, by function and role. With the introduction of the CES online assessment, Officials can now be evaluated on their knowledge of the Rules and Regulations on a yearly basis.
Strengthening the partnership with the University of Zurich
Since its early days, FEI Campus has collaborated with the University of Zurich for all Horsemanship courses in order to ensure that the highest academic standards were met through quality courses. In 2020 this partnership has been strengthened and intensified with the aim of delivering an improved learning experience to our students and more courses.
