“Outstanding sporting achievements, unforgettable emotions and Longines’ elegance”
As the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ series, Longines was proud to be part of an exciting 2018-2019 season, which came to a stunning conclusion at the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Gothenburg, Sweden.
2019 was also marked by the Longines FEI European Championships in Rotterdam (NED), which offered one week of captivating competitions, bringing together the best European athletes and horses in the disciplines of Jumping, Dressage and Para Dressage The brand was honoured to serve as Title Partner and Official Timekeeper at this event and to celebrate remarkable sports performances by presenting the winners with elegant timepieces. Among the winners was none other than Longines Ambassador of Elegance and Dressage champion Sönke Rothenberger. This event also provided the perfect platform to welcome sporting legend and brand Ambassador Stefanie Graf.
The Swiss watchmaking brand was also delighted to participate in the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ series, comprised of 12 thrilling qualifiers across Europe, the USA, Canada and the UAE, before ending in Barcelona with the Final. A very special guest was with us at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona; Longines Ambassador and Australian actor Simon Baker, who experienced his first jumping event on this occasion. He enjoyed the victory of team Spain on home soil in front of a euphoric crowd in the Challenge Cup, leading up to the grand finale and Team Ireland’s spirited success.
The year ended on a glamorous note, with the FEI Awards presented by Longines held at the Kremlin in Moscow (RUS). On this occasion, Longines was delighted to grant German Dressage Athlete Semmieke Rothenberger the 2019 Longines Rising Star Award.
