STABLES
In May 2020 he set up the Kleppenhus stables with his wife Tiril Anerud near Aarhus, Denmark. In early 2022 he announced that he was moving to Agnete Kirk Thinggaard's Julianelyst yard in Ostbirk, Denmark. "We have got the opportunity to get more boxes and apartments and the location of Julianelyst is better because it's closer to Germany and closer to the highway. We are looking very much forward to this new chapter and to get all our employees and students' horses at the same barn together." WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP EXPERIENCE
In May 2022 his horse co-owners Andreas Helgstrand and Christian Vang Lauridsen announced the sale of his ride for the 2022 World Championships, Marshall Bell, to Nicola Ahorner. A month later he was invited by the Ahorner family to help with Marshall Bell's training and the start-up in new surroundings, which then led to an agreement to lend Marshall Bell for his world championships campaign. He and Marshall Bell went on to compete at the 2022 World Championships in Herning, Denmark, and won gold in the team event. "As we approached the world championships, it became very clear that the owners wanted to sell [Marshall Bell]. I wanted to help [the Ahorner family]. It was a really good trip and they were super sweet people, but I didn't even think about getting Marshall Bell back." CAREER
In 2014 he began working as a rider for Blue Hors Stud in Randbol, Denmark. He had previously completed an internship at the facility in 2006. Between 2012 and 2014, he was employed by fellow Danish rider Andreas Helgstrand as a horse trainer, and prior to that he had worked with Rudolf Zeilinger in Germany for six years. "It made a difference to me that I went to Germany. It was a lifetime experience and investment in my future, which you cannot buy with money."
