FEI Vice President to bear the Olympic Torch

Freddy Serpieri will carry the Olympic flame along the New Olympic Village Road in Aharnon 
 
The FEI Vice President Freddy Serpieri (GRE) will be the proud bearer of the Olympic Torch on 11 August afternoon.

Freddy Serpieri, 66, is the Vice President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee since 2001, and Vice President of the FEI since 1998. Very active in the Olympic Mouvement for many years, Freddy Serpieri was the President of the first founded riding club in Greece, the Hellenic Riding Club from 1980 until 1995 and National Champion of Greece in 1955 and 1969.

The FEI President, Her Royal Highness the Infanta Doña Pilar de Borbón also took part to the Spanish leg of the Torch Relay on 27 June.

The Olympic flame returned to Greece on 9 July, after an international journey on all five continents, through 26 countries and 34 cities. It will now continue its journey in Greece, to arrive at the Athens Olympic Stadium on the evening of 13 August for the Opening Ceremony.
