FEI GANDINI WORLD RIDERS RANKINGS
ONLY 10 POINTS SEPARATE BEERBAUM AND HIS RUNNER-UP EHNING

With 2655 points, Ludger Beerbaum (GER) is leading the FEI Gandini World Riders Rankings with as few as 10 points more on his fellow countryman Marcus Ehning. Beerbaum dropped 305 points at the end of the month, only earning 90 at FEI World Cup qualifier at Gteborg.

Marcus Ehning (2645 pts) had a fruitful month of April: he collected 100 pts at the World Cup Final in Milan, where he finished 2nd in the first competition and 12th in the Final, 115 pts in Gteborg where he finished also 2nd in the Friday's qualifying competition and another 80 pts in Dsseldorf where he won the Grand Prix.

The Swiss Marcus Fuchs maintained his 3rd position. With his 3rd place at the FEI World Cup Final in Milan where he won the first competition and his good results in Gteborg, Marcus Fuchs is back to top form.

Beezie Madden-Patton (USA) went up two places to grab the 4th rank, thanks to her excellent results in Charlotte and Tampa (USA) where she finished 2nd of the Grand Prix. The best lady rider is even becoming a threat for the Top 3, as they will all drop a number of points at the end of the month (330 for Fuchs, 305 for Beerbaum and 235 for Ehning) whereas she has none to drop from May 2003.

Good progression also from Robert Smith (GBR) who went up from 17th to 14th place. He earned 200 points during the month at CSI 4* Shefield and in Gteborg. The World Cup Champion Bruno Broucqusault (FRA) progressed from 42nd to 24th place in two months.
