Creation of the United Equestrian Athletes Association

On 20 April 2004, the new umbrella organisation of the riders in the three Olympic disciplines of Jumping, Dressage and Eventing was formally announced at the FEI General Assembly (see FEI Press News 11/04).

The board of the Association is composed of the following members:
- Cayetano Martinez de Irujo (ESP), President
- Magritt Otto Crpin (FRA), Vice President
- Eddy Stibbe (AHO), Vice President
Members:
- Andrew Hoy (AUS)
- Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA)
- Richard Davidson (GBR)
- Gnter Seidel representing American Dressage and Peter Wylde representing American Jumping.

Secretary General: Eleonora Ottaviani

The association is aimed at promoting exchanges between their rider members as well as discussing subjects of common interest among the Olympic disciplines. The ultimate goal of the association is to have one rider on the IOC Athletes Commission.
