Guidelines for the Medical Coverage of Events

INFORMATION AND MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MEDICAL COVERAGE OF FEI EVENTS

International event Organisers are required by the FEI to provide adequate medical assistance at their event. This includes the on-site presence of personnel trained in emergency medical care and an appropriate medical emergency action plan for the evacuation, emergency treatment, and transport of injured Athletes (article 109.10, FEI General Regulations). When planning for medical coverage, Organisers must refer to the Mandatory Guidelines issued by the FEI.

The FEI's recommendations on the diagnosis and management of Concussion at FEI Events will also provide essential information as well as a detailed process to plan for and manage concussion issues on competition sites.

Organisers are welcome to send an email to the FEI Medical Committee for advice on the  medical coverage planning of their event.
