CHANGE OF DISCIPLINE
He used to compete in equestrian jumping and trained in Europe with Rolf Goran Bengtsson, Max Hauri and Hans Horn, before moving to ride in the United States of America. He first competed in international eventing in 2013. "I originally only competed in showjumping and [Irish jumper] Eddie Macken was someone I always admired. After working in various countries for nearly a decade, I decided to return to education. I met my wife Lucy when I was nearing the end of that process and she introduced me to eventing." FURTHER EDUCATION
Between 2008 and 2013 he completed a PhD at the Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland. His thesis focused on bankruptcy and insolvency law.
