When and where did you begin this sport? He began riding at age five in Sao Luis, Brazil.
Why this sport? He was encouraged to take up the sport by his grandfather Darcy and his father Mario, who set up his own riding school. At age 12 his father sold his house and bought a truck in order to take Marlon to jumping competitions around Brazil.
